General Roulette Tips

Let’s take a break from talking about detailed aspects of Roulette and various Roulette strategies for a while and talk about more general things for a change. There are several interesting – very useful nonetheless – Roulette tips that you can use in order to stay ahead of the game and enjoy playing Roulette even more. We are going to talk about those tips in this article.

First of all, always approach the game of Roulette with a plan. You need to know exactly when to quit, have a good bankroll management strategy in hand, and bet based on a certain betting strategy or plan you have formulated. This way, you don’t have to deal with the emotional implications of losing knowing that you have a strict plan in mind.

Understand that Roulette is a purely chance-driven game. There is no way you can predict the outcome of a Roulette spin even after analyzing the complete history of previous spins. This also means that all those sites trying to sell you “surefire secrets” of winning in Roulette are simply charging you ridiculous amount of money for getting the information you can get on this site.

Always play with the money you can afford to lose. Although Roulette can be highly rewarding, there are still risks involved. You need to gamble responsibly and allocate a certain amount of money for playing Roulette. Also make sure you don’t play Roulette under influence; it will be even harder to focus on the game and you will certainly lose more than you win.

Roulette Betting Strategies: The Double Street Quad Strategy

There are so many interesting Roulette betting strategies you can use to help you stay profitable and win more money whenever you play the game of Roulette. This next betting strategy we are going to discuss, the Double Street Quad Strategy, is very popular nonetheless. In fact, this particular strategy hs been used by top and experienced Roulette players to stay ahead of the game.

The Double Street Quad Strategy involves placing a series of bets designed to cover a total of 17 numbers and provide the highest possible return should any of the covered numbers is hit. You start by placing two chips on the Double Street bet covering 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15. You then need to place two more chips on another Double Street bet covering 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, and 33.

We have 12 numbers covered so far, and the next bet to place is a Corner bet to cover 7, 18, 20, and 21. Make sure you only place 1 chip for the Corner bet and not two chips like the previous Double Street bets. Next, choose straight up number and bet on it with a single chip. It would be best to choose a number that hasn’t been covered by the previous bets yet.

If any of the Double Street bets is hit, you will win 10 chips (5 to 1 payout, two chips wagered) for a profit of 6 chips. The Corner bet pays 8 to 1, so you will still have 3 chips profit if any of the four numbers is hit. Of course, the Straight Up bet pays 35 to 1 and brings you 30 chips of profit.

More Roulette Bets

Although we have thoroughly discussed both Roulette inside bets and outside bets, there are still several unique bets that we haven’t discussed yet. In this part, we are going to take a look at these Roulette bets as well as see just how profitable they can be.

Although we have discussed the Roulette outside bets, we haven’t talk about the Colum bets just yet. As the name suggests, Colum bets are bets that cover the entire column on the Roulette table. The 1st column covers the numbers 1, 4, 7, 10, 13, 16, 19, 22, 25, 28, 31, and 34. The 2nd column covers the numbers 2, 5, 8, 11, 14, 17, 20, 23, 26, 29, 32, and 35. The 3rd column of course covers the numbers 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18, 21, 24, 27, 30, 33, and 36. These bets pay a healthy 2 to 1.

We have also discussed the Six Line or Double Street bet. There is another similar bet where you can cover a total of 5 numbers: the Top Line bet. The five covered numbers are 0, 00, 1, 2, and 3, while the payout ratio is 6 to 1. Keep in mind that this bet is only available in American Roulette.

Still in the game of American Roulette, you can also cover both the 0 and 00 by placing a Row 00 bet. This particular bet pays 17 to 1, and it is basically a variation of the Split bet found in both American and European Roulette.

Roulette Outside Bets

We have discussed about the endless betting possibilities you can find in the game of Roulette. In the previous discussion, we have talked about the possible inside bets and just how much you can win from them. In this part, we are going to talk about the Roulette outside bets and learn about their payout rations. Let’s have a look, shall we?

There are a lot of even-money bets categorized as Roulette outside bets. The first one is the 1 to 18 bet using which you can cover a total of 18 numbers from 1 to 18. You can also place the 19 to 36 bet and cover 18 numbers on the Roulette wheel as well. As mentioned earlier, these bets pay even money when hit.

You can also place the Even/Odd bet as well as the Red/Black bet. With the Even/Odd bet, you are simply betting on the result of a spin to be an even number or an odd number. Red/Black bet represents betting on the color accordingly; you are betting on the result of a spin to be one of the Red or Black numbers. These Roulette bets also pay even money when hit.

Next, we have the Dozen bet. As the name suggests, Dozen bet means you are betting on a set of a dozen numbers. The 1st Dozen represents the numbers 1 to 12, the 2nd Dozen represents 13 to 24, and the 3rd Dozen represents the number 25 to 36. These bets pay 2 to 1 when hit.

Roulette Inside Bets

There are so many different bets you can place when you play the game of Roulette. These bets are categorized into two different categories: the inside bets and the outside bets. In this particular discussion we are going to take a look at the Roulette inside bets and see how they can be used to win a lot of money playing the game of Roulette.

The first and arguably the most popular Roulette inside bet is of course the Straight Up bet. If you place a Straight Up bet, you are simply betting on a single number on the Roulette wheel. If you win this bet, you will get a payout of 35 to 1.

Next, we have the Split bet. Instead of betting on a single number, you are betting on two adjoining numbers by placing the chips right in the middle of two numbers. The payout for this bet is 17 to 1. If you want, you can also place a Street bet and covers three numbers on a single horizontal line. This bet pays 11 to 1.

Another interesting inside bet to use frequently is the Corner or Quad bet. By placing your chip in the middle of four numbers – for example in the middle of 1-2-4-5 squares – you are covering the four numbers; the bet pays 8 to 1. Six Line or Double Street bet is exactly what the name suggests; you will cover a total of six numbers in two rows and can win a 5 to 1 payout.

The Roulette Wheel

One of the most important parts of Roulette you need to understand before you start playing this marvelous game is the Roulette wheel itself. There are two types of Roulette wheels used to play different versions of Roulette. We are going to have a look at the two Roulette wheels right here in this article.

The first Roulette wheel version is used in the game of European Roulette. It has a total of 37 numbers including a single 0. The wheel is designed to have each color alternate one another. To the right of the singe 0 colored green, you will see the number 32 in red, followed by 15 in black, 19 in red, and so on until the circle ends with the number 26 in black.

In the game of American Roulette, the wheel layout is slightly different. There is another green tile with the number 00 at the opposite of the single 0. The number arrangements are also different, although they are designed to provide pure chance-driven Roulette playing experiences.

The different Roulette wheels used also present different house advantage rates. With European Roulette, the house advantage is as little as 2.63%. If you choose to play American Roulette, on the other hand, you will have to play against a house advantage of 5.26%.

Now that you understand the overall layout and differences of the two Roulette wheel, you can continue with understanding other parts of the game to get started with playing Roulette in no time at all.
