More Roulette Bets

Although we have thoroughly discussed both Roulette inside bets and outside bets, there are still several unique bets that we haven’t discussed yet. In this part, we are going to take a look at these Roulette bets as well as see just how profitable they can be.

Although we have discussed the Roulette outside bets, we haven’t talk about the Colum bets just yet. As the name suggests, Colum bets are bets that cover the entire column on the Roulette table. The 1st column covers the numbers 1, 4, 7, 10, 13, 16, 19, 22, 25, 28, 31, and 34. The 2nd column covers the numbers 2, 5, 8, 11, 14, 17, 20, 23, 26, 29, 32, and 35. The 3rd column of course covers the numbers 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18, 21, 24, 27, 30, 33, and 36. These bets pay a healthy 2 to 1.

We have also discussed the Six Line or Double Street bet. There is another similar bet where you can cover a total of 5 numbers: the Top Line bet. The five covered numbers are 0, 00, 1, 2, and 3, while the payout ratio is 6 to 1. Keep in mind that this bet is only available in American Roulette.

Still in the game of American Roulette, you can also cover both the 0 and 00 by placing a Row 00 bet. This particular bet pays 17 to 1, and it is basically a variation of the Split bet found in both American and European Roulette.

The Roulette Wheel

One of the most important parts of Roulette you need to understand before you start playing this marvelous game is the Roulette wheel itself. There are two types of Roulette wheels used to play different versions of Roulette. We are going to have a look at the two Roulette wheels right here in this article.

The first Roulette wheel version is used in the game of European Roulette. It has a total of 37 numbers including a single 0. The wheel is designed to have each color alternate one another. To the right of the singe 0 colored green, you will see the number 32 in red, followed by 15 in black, 19 in red, and so on until the circle ends with the number 26 in black.

In the game of American Roulette, the wheel layout is slightly different. There is another green tile with the number 00 at the opposite of the single 0. The number arrangements are also different, although they are designed to provide pure chance-driven Roulette playing experiences.

The different Roulette wheels used also present different house advantage rates. With European Roulette, the house advantage is as little as 2.63%. If you choose to play American Roulette, on the other hand, you will have to play against a house advantage of 5.26%.

Now that you understand the overall layout and differences of the two Roulette wheel, you can continue with understanding other parts of the game to get started with playing Roulette in no time at all.
